Week 5: Burning Questions

Wow. That two-night Bachelor event was pretty … eventful, to say the least. The four hours of Bachelor madness certainly did not disappoint. However, the fighting, crying and sled-riding also left us with a multitude of questions that are in search of some answers. Here’s what we’re wondering about heading into tonight’s episode:

1. Who survives tonight’s fight: Tierra or AshLee?

Ding ding ding! Welcome to the premier fight of The Bachelor: Season 17! In one corner, we’ve got the quiet, overly organized girl next door: AshLeeee Frazier! In the other corner, we’ve got the heavyweight champion. She’s the manipulative, dirty, scrappy, underhanded fighter you’ve all come to know and love: Tierraaaaa LiCausi!

We’ve all seen the previews. We know Tierra comes to figurative blows with AshLee this week, but that begs the question, “Who makes it out alive?” It’s possible that both survive this week and get a rose, but if we had to bet, one of these women doesn’t make it past the land of St. Croix. So, who will it be? Unfortunately, we’re leaning toward AshLee getting sent home. Sean is so far in at this point, we’re not sure he can see what’s real and what’s not. We really hope AshLee stays and survives this whole mess, but we could certainly envision a scenario where Sean convinces himself that AshLee is the drama-starter and puts her on a plane back to the states. There’s no one who hopes we’re wrong more than we do, but we can’t ignore our gut. Tierra is a master manipulator. She will spread lies, offer fake apologies and claw eyes out if she has to. Good or bad, we’ll know the answer shortly!

2. Will the friction between Desiree and Sean get worse?

Even though Sean and Desiree’s one-on-one date in Canada went quite well, we’re still a little nervous about these two. There was some clear tension in the last episode when Desiree confronted Sean for some of his questionable decisions. Even though AshLee was able to steal Sean away before the situation got too tense, it was obvious that the confused Bachelor was becoming somewhat irritated with Des. Is this a sign of things to come? Will Desiree continue to voice her frustration to Sean until she gets herself eliminated? We certainly wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. Sean is missing the obvious truth glaring right at him, and Desiree has every right to tell him that, even if he doesn’t want to listen. Think about it. Wouldn’t you tell your boyfriend if you were frustrated with some of his choices? Des is just doing what any other caring girlfriend would do. We just hope she doesn’t get dumped for it.

3. What’s with that surprise letter Sean gets during the finale?

Ok, we know the answer to this question is still several weeks away, but that hasn’t stopped us from wondering about it. The teaser for the remainder of the season showed Sean getting a very unexpected letter from one of the final two women just before he’s about to (possibly) get down on bended knee. What does the letter say? Who’s it from? Why would she give it to him moments before he makes his final decision? Does the letter-writer eliminate herself? Are the producers leading us to believe it’s a breakup letter when it’s really a proclamation of love? So many questions!

We’re about to throw out an idea that will probably make a lot of you upset. What if Tierra is the one who writes that letter? After all, last week’s episode did show Tierra writing in her notebook on more than one occasion. What if it’s foreshadowing? Could Tierra actually make it to the finale? It’s also possible that, if Tierra makes it to the finale, the other woman writes the letter cautioning Sean about the consequences of picking such a wretched evildoer. There are so many potential scenarios here. We can’t wait to find out what happens! Who do you think the letter is from? Sound off in the comments section!

The Hot Seat

Every week, we’ll pick one or two ladies who we think are in danger of getting sent home the following episode. Whether it’s because they’re causing tension in the mansion, had a night of drunken woopsies or just simply aren’t connecting with Sean, these ladies could find themselves in the Bachelor Burn Book Hot Seat … a place that would make even Regina George feel threatened.

It’s time for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. We are officially putting Tierra in the Hot Seat. Her be-hind has to be feeling the heat right about now, wouldn’t you say? It looks like Sean walks right into the Tierra-nado for the second straight week, which gives him one more piece of evidence that she cray cray. Hopefully, he doesn’t ignore it this time! She may not get sent home this week, but she is dangerously close to elimination territory. Hence, that is the reason we put her here, in our comfy Hot Seat, at long last. Fingers crossed we’re right!
